(An Intergalactic Incident)
By ExoticHippieQueen ©2011
By ultraviolet airglow, I view deep space,
Orbital velocity thru the Milky Way,
Spinning on a quasar to keep up the pace,
My copilot’s name is Gamma Ray.
Kryptonite crumbles spill from my pocket,
I’m out of control, it’s a Big Bang crash,
Was rolling the game from my retrorocket.
Now it’s a free fall in a nano-flash.
In a period of revolution from a cosmic shock
Like a Super Nova burned to dust
My world exploded into jagged, flying rock
Have no geo-home or turbo thrust.
Falling………………….
Tumbling hard,
The galaxy demanded
That I go
Crashing through granite,
Make a hard, G-force landing
On a distant, alien planet.
My umbilical cord was cut and tossed
In the Black Hole, a very dark matter,
Red Dwarf laughs at all I’ve lost
Ambient wavelengths fade his chatter.
Eclipsed by the golden moon, I’m blind,
Lone meteor speeds the starry night
And crosses paths with asteroids but finds
It’s way on lone, forsaken flight.
The solar winds caress my face
Soft as the whisper of a baby’s sigh,
No air, no light, no sounded trace,
As quiet as the wings of a dragonfly.
This strange, new planet, full of quark
Now comforts me, just south of Mars,
Fly with the wind, and push back the dark,
No longer one of the binary stars.
